My first teaching experience was as a GRE and GMAT instructor for Kaplan Test Prep. Since then, I earned a PhD in Social Psychology, and I've been a college psychology professor at University of Alabama, Mississippi University for Women, Texas Christian University, and (currently) UT Arlington. This collection of students' anonymous comments about my teaching is among my proudest accomplishments. Students have also provided reviews of my teaching on

Growing up, my parents were generous to provide me with piano and trombone lessons, and I played trombone in my school band (4th-12th grade). During middle school and high school, I played trombone in various regional and all-state bands.

I didn't discover my passion for music until my twenties, when I began writing original songs. When I looked into recording my songs, I discovered that DAWs -- software for making music -- had become extremely easy and fun to use. DAW music composition quickly became my favorite thing to do, so I ended up putting a lot of time into it. Essentially, Music Production Academy of Dallas represents an attempt to get paid for my two passions: teaching and music. I want to teach people how to do the most fun thing I know how to do.
